Our Story

When you enter the Shepherd's Godparent Home in Bangor, Maine, you will feel a sense of belonging that helps you adapt easily to the homey surroundings. This sense of security and safety will assist you in making the important decisions you will face in the near future.

Life at our home is both encouraging and challenging. Our houseparents and staff are committed to loving both you and your baby unconditionally. The daily schedule at the home is filled with activities such as academic classes, life and job skills training, crafts, devotionals, parenting classes, counseling, and volunteer opportunities.

Costs for You & Your Family

The Shepherd's Godparent Home provides your room, meals, and education at no cost. These services are made available to clients through the generosity of donors, churches, and other service organizations who support us faithfully on a regular basis. We are a tax-exempt, non-profit organization (501(c)3).
